Medium efficiency filtration in a shallow frame, for air handling units where there is no room to fit a bag filter.

A V-bank filter solves a space problem. Where a bag filter needs half a metre of depth to hold enough media for medium efficiency duty, a V-bank folds the same media area into a shallow frame — which is what makes it usable in retrofit air handling units where the depth simply is not there.

The media is mini-pleated glass fibre or polypropylene on a 2V, 3V or 4V header, and the grade range is unusually wide for a single frame: it covers medium efficiency duty and continues toward HEPA, so a unit can be upgraded without changing the opening. Two details decide how well it performs in service — sealing, because the gaps between the V sections are the bypass path, and frame material, because ABS, galvanised steel and stainless steel suit different duty. Selection starts from the opening, since the headers are not interchangeable, and then from the airflow the unit actually moves.

## Key features

- **Compact depth**: 292 mm (High airflow in a shallow frame where a bag filter would not fit)
- **Large media area**: 4.58 – 19.83 m² (Mini-pleated media on V-shaped headers packs depth into a short frame)
- **M6 to H14 in one frame**: 67% – 99.999% (The same 292 mm housing covers medium efficiency through HEPA class)
- **Low resistance**: 70 – 200 Pa (Initial resistance rises in steps of about 20 Pa per grade)
- **Rated to 3,200 m³/h**: 592×592 / 4V (Rated at 2.5 m/s face velocity across all four standard sizes)
- **2V, 3V and 4V headers**: Matched to the opening (287×287, 490×490 and 592 mm faces in 2, 3 and 4 V configurations)
- **Hot-melt sealed**: No bypass between V's (PU two-component sealant and EVA, EPDM or PU gaskets close the frame)
- **Glass fibre or PP media**: Grade dependent (Fiberglass for the higher efficiency classes, polypropylene where specified)
