Bag filter media roll is the semi-finished material that pocket filters are built from. It is supplied in rolls and converted into finished elements, so it is bought by filter manufacturers and by plants that assemble their own. The media is polyester fibre, carded into layers and bonded with hot air rather than with chemical binders, which is what keeps it stable in humid air.

Six grades run from G4 to F9, and the efficiency of each is published per particle size, so the same media can be specified for different duties without changing the converting line. Colour coding to the EUR and CN standards is available, which matters when one plant runs both. Selection is driven by the finished element rather than the roll: decide the grade from what sits downstream, then the length from the pocket that will be sewn from it. This is media, not a finished filter — it has no frame, header or seal, and its resistance only means something once it is built into an element.
